Mayfair International Academy's Teaching Team consists of over 20 enthusiastic and dedicated teachers and teaching assistants from a variety of backgrounds. We accept applications for preliminary interviews throughout the year, in order to shortlist candidates for future vacancies. We look for motivated individuals who work well in a team environment and who value being able to treat each child as an individual. We aim to establish long-term relationships with all new members of our Teaching Team and we value honesty, integrity and dedication.

Applicants for teaching positions must be fully qualified and have at least two years' experience in the position for which they apply. All applicants must be able to provide proof of relevant qualifications, a recent police check and the contact details of at least two referees. If selected, you will be asked to attend a preliminary interview, which may take place via Skype. If shortlisted for a position, you may be invited to attend an in-person interview with our Management Team.

Primary Class Teacher

We believe that teaching is the most important and most rewarding job in the world and we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented, UK qualified Primary teacher, who shares this view, to join our team in September 2018. Applicants must be able to work as part of a team and should have at least three years of experience (U.K. experience and/or experience in a Cambridge Primary school is desirable). Shortlisted applicants must be able to attend in-person interviews and present a demonstration lesson.

We are currently conducting preliminary interviews to shortlist candidates for future full-time and part-time positions. U.K. teaching qualifications are required and recent U.K. experience is desirable.

Supply / cover teachers and teaching assistants

Secondary English Teacher

We believe that teaching is the most important and most rewarding job in the world and we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented, UK qualified Secondary English teacher, who shares this view, to join our team in September 2018. Applicants must be able to work as part of a team and should have at least three years of experience teaching English as a First Language following the National Curriculum for England and/or the Cambridge Curriculum. Applicants must be native English speakers and have experience teaching up to and including A-Level. Experience in teaching English Literature is desirable. Shortlisted applicants must be able to attend in-person interviews and present a demonstration lesson.

Global Perspectives

We are looking for a UK qualified Secondary teacher, who is up-to-date on modern and interactive teaching methods, to deliver the Cambridge Global Perspectives course throughout Lower and Upper Secondary (in preparation for Cambridge IGCSE Global Perspectives examinations). Applicants must be able to work as part of a team and should have at least three years of experience teaching a related subject following the National Curriculum for England and/or the Cambridge Curriculum. In addition to Global Perspectives, applicants must be able to teach at least one additional subject (English and/or Humanities is preferable) at Secondary level. Shortlisted applicants must be able to attend in-person interviews and present a demonstration lesson.

Supply / cover teachers and teaching assistants

Recepcionist

We are currently interviewing for a receptionist for maternity cover. We are looking for a well-presented and enthusiastic individual to join our team. Applicants must have previous experience in customer service and be fluent in English and Spanish. Candidates must be well-organised and have polished communication skills, as well as computer literacy and the ability to adapt to new programmes/systems, with competency in Outlook 365 or similar, Microsoft Office and word processing.
