Throughout the Secondary department we follow the Cambridge Secondary 1 programme, building on the knowledge our learners have developed in their Primary education and continuing to work towards success at Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level.
During the three-year, Key Stage 3 programme, learners study 11 subjects, including Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), through which they develop important life skills. All students who require additional support in English language benefit from weekly support classes in small groups.
In Stage 10 students begin the two-year Cambridge IGCSE course, during which they follow a number of compulsory subject, including ICT and Spanish, as well as their chosen optional subjects. Learners generally sit their Cambridge IGCSE examinations at the end of Stage 11.
We believe that both practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge are equally important phases of learning. Throughout the Secondary department our teaching team combines both experiences to allow students to develop their minds and to learn to convert theoretical learning into practical performance.
